Tammy Murphy Receives Major Endorsement from Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters

Carpenters Union Endorses Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate, Citing Tammy’s Work as a Champion for New Jersey’s Working Families

RED BANK, NJ – Tammy Murphy today received a major endorsement from the Eastern Atlantic State Regional Council of Carpenters in her run for U.S. Senate. The EAS Carpenters represent 15,000 workers and their families in New Jersey.

“Tammy Murphy has always been a champion for New Jersey’s working families,” said EAS Carpenters Executive Secretary-Treasurer William C. Sproule. “In the Senate, we know that Tammy Murphy will continue to be a partner in the fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, benefits and retirement security for workers and their families. She will be a fierce advocate for protecting the union way of life from those who look to undermine it.”

“Unions are the backbone of a strong economy and a real middle class, and I am so grateful to be recognized by the Carpenters and earn their endorsement in this campaign,” said Tammy Murphy. “We have already worked hard to make New Jersey a better state to live, work and raise a family – and that includes supporting our unions at all costs – and that’s exactly what I’ll do in the United States Senate.”

The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters represents more than 43,000 members in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia and includes members from many different trade groups, including commercial/residential carpenters, heavy highway, piledrivers, floor-layers, mill cabinet, and tradeshow.
