Tammy Murphy Receives Endorsement from Atlantic City Council President Aaron “Sporty” Randolph and Atlantic City Council Vice President and Third Ward Councilman Kaleem Shabazz

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Today, Tammy Murphy received endorsements from both Atlantic City Council President Aaron “Sporty” Randolph and Atlantic City Council Vice President and Third Ward Councilman Kaleem Shabazz in her bid for U.S. Senate.

“Tammy Murphy has been a tireless advocate for improving maternal and infant health in the state of New Jersey and the Great City of Atlantic City,” said President Randolph and Vice President Shabazz in a joint statement. “Tammy is no stranger to Atlantic City and has spent significant time over the last several years building relationships with our mothers and faith communities to combat infant and maternal mortality rates in our city. She is a champion for our mothers and babies and has been an incredible partner in expanding access to resources for our community. We are confident that Tammy will continue this groundbreaking work for our city when she is in the U.S. Senate and we fully endorse her candidacy.”

“I am grateful to Council President Randolph and Vice President Shabazz for their support of my campaign for U.S. Senate,” said Tammy Murphy. “From worshiping with Atlantic City’s faith congregations to connecting with mothers and children at our Family Festival in 2019 to reveling in the entertainment during this year’s North 2 Shore Festival, I have always enjoyed Atlantic City and its wonderful community. Atlantic City is one of New Jersey’s most treasured locations, and I believe that the success of Atlantic City is vital to the success of our state. I thank the President and Vice President for their endorsement and am very much looking forward to continuing our work to ensure our hardworking families are well represented in Washington.”

Murphy has received endorsements from Atlantic County Commissioner Ernest Coursey Sr. and Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small. She has also received support from over sixty faith and community leaders, six Congressional members, many elected officials, and several unions.
