Several Faith & Community Leaders From Across New Jersey Endorse Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate

“Tammy has worked hard over the past six years to earn our trust, and in turn, we trust that she is the right person to serve as our U.S. Senator”

RED BANK, NJ – Today, several more faith and community leaders from across New Jersey endorsed Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate. They released the following joint statement:

“For the last six years, Tammy Murphy has visited our communities, worshiped at our churches, and been an advocate for many issues that are critical to the African American community in New Jersey.

“Tammy chose to lean in, do the hard work, and tackle the big challenges affecting our families, including the infant and maternal mortality crisis. She has a deep understanding of the root causes that lead African American women to be seven times more likely than white women to die during childbirth, and has implemented a plan that is already working to reduce these mortality rates. But more than this deep understanding, Tammy has spearheaded significant policy and legislative changes to address this alarming crisis, and has built relationships to deliver critical resources to our communities. It is clear, Tammy’s leadership and partnership on the infant and maternal crisis has made pregnancy, labor, and delivery safer for New Jersey’s Black women.

“Tammy has worked hard over the past six years to earn our trust, and in turn, we trust that she is the right person to serve as our U.S. Senator. We proudly endorse Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate.”
